Manchester United sign Ballack?

According to the Guardian Newspaper Manchester United have signed a deal with Bayern Munich’s Michael Ballack, which will see him join the red devils for the 2006-07 season. He is meant as a replacement for Roy Keane and Sir Alex sees him as the natural successor to replace the leadership qualities of Keane.

Ballack will be available on a free this time next year and has hinted that he would like to leave the German Giants, but either way should this prove to be correct it could be one of the best free signings ever.
