AC Milan, Inter Milan, Chelsea where next for Gila

AC Milan, Inter Milan and Chelsea, have all declared an interest in Parma’s Alberto Gilardino and after weeks of wrangling his future is still no-where near decided. Milan had appeared out and out favourites but a 25 million pound asking price was too rich for their blood with sporting director Oreste Cinquini stating:

"I have spoken a few times to Moratti, while Galliani has given us the freedom to talk to other clubs.

"Something could happen at Chelsea too because they have been left unsatisfied with Didier Drogba's year.

"He is a great player but his strike rate isn't very high. Chelsea have a defensive set-up and need a striker who can take chances."
