Ewerthon Staying With Dortmund

No Benfica and no VFB Stuttgart for Brazilian winger Ewerthon, but Borussia Dortmund, his current club. The Dortmund winger announced in German football magazine Kicker, that he will sit out his current contract with the German fallen giants. Ewerthon contract is running till the summer of 2006. He held talks with Benfica and Stuttgart recently and a deal with the Portuguese champions was almost done until he deciced to stay with Dortmund.

"I am happy here and I will sit out my current contract with Dortmund. I am looking forward to next season, we have a young team with a lot potential. This team is very hungry for success and we will fight for the highest places next season." Stated the 24-year old in Kicker.

He added to that: "I am even willing to renew my contract with Dortmund."

The Brazilian played 119 games during his four previous years with Dortmund in which he scored 47 goals.
