Arsenal and Manchester United are both interested in luring Sevilla striker Julio Baptista to their respective clubs, with Arsenal touted as the favourites to actually land the player.
Baptista is set to leave Sevilla after turning down an offer to stay with them and has his sights set on a move to the Premiership in two seasons with the Spanish side he has netted 50 goals.
Rumours in Spain are that Arsenal vice-chairman David Dein has already flew to Spain to steal a march on their rivals for the players signature.
