Birmingham go Greek

Birmingham City have signed Greek international Angelos Basinas, from Panathinaikos, although a fee between the two clubs still has to be settled. Panathinaikos recently turned down a £265,000 from Birmingham, but this is way off the Greek sides 2 million valuation of the player. Manchester City and Marseille were both interested in Basinas, but look to have lost out, providing the two clubs can agree a fee.
