E'too ready to extend contract

Samuel Eto’o has agreed to stay in Barcelona for another five years. His wage has been doubled and the new contract will be signed next web when the striker returns from his country. Barcelona Chairman Joan Laporta travelled to Yaounde and managed to tie Samuel Eto’o to the club until 2010.

The new contract gives the striker twice the wage he had been receiving, and as soon as he returns to Spain next week, it will be signed.

This way, Eto’o has become the third player to extend his contract to 2010, together with Xavi and Deco, and rumours on a possible transfer to Chelsea begin to fade away.
