Liverpool star Vladimir Smicer has today completed a move to French side Bordeaux signing a two year deal with them, he is expected to take a medical this afternoon and agrees personal terms.
Speaking to the Czech press the player stated:
"Bordeaux is a beautiful seaside city and Les Girondins were always at the top of the French league.”
"The last season was not an ideal one for them, they will certainly want to get back to the top in the new one. I will be glad to be able to help them."
"Out of all the offers I had, I like this one the most.
"Bordeaux wanted me last year after the European Championships but I had to undergo knee surgery and was sidelined for half a season.
"Their interest remained, however, and that is the most important thing for any player when seeking a transfer."
