Everton and Roma in for Leverkusen ace.

Both Everton of the Premiership and AS Soma of Serie A, are attempting to lure Leverkusen wing-back Diego Placente to their clubs. His contract is up at Leverkusen and it is thought he wants to make a step up to a bigger club. Roma have been interested for some time, but Everton are understood to have stepped in at the last moment.

And being able to offer him the chance of Champions League football will not harm their cause.
