No Davids Home Coming Yet

Edgar Davids will not play for AZ next season according to AZ director of football Martin Van Geel. The tenacious midfielder, who is aloud to leave his current club Inter Milan, had meetings with both Ajax and AZ over the few last weeks but a return to his native country seems unlikely now. "Edgar let us know that he wants to play one or two more seasons abroad. So Davids will not come to AZ on a short term", stated Van Geel.

A few weeks ago Davids did't wanted to rule out a move home but now he decided to play one or maybe two years more abroad.

Clubs who were linked to Davids in the past are Everton and Manchester United, England seems a possible destination with Davids praising the Premier League a few months ago.

Inter Milan's asking price won't be high but whether clubs can afford his wages will remain doubtful.
