Inter Milan inquire about Liverpool star

Inter Milan are rumoured by the Italian press to have enquired about Liverpool defender Sami Hyypia. They are keen to land Hyypia, who has only a year left on his contract at Anfield. It is understood that while Hyypia would welcome the approach, he will stay at Liverpool providing they are allowed to defend their Champions League title, should that decision not be forthcoming, he would consider a move to Inter Milan.
