Newcastle United: 1st signing in the door?

Various Italian newspapers are today carrying the story that Emre has reached agreement with Newcastle United and will join soon. They say Newcastle beat off competition for the player from Everton. Of course Emre to Newcastle, is hardly new news, several translations of various statements have appeared on here and various other sites, but the press are now claiming that the deal is done.

If this is indeed the case then all that would appear to be needed is a medical and we have our first signing of the close season.

The cost; appears to vary from around 4 million Euros up to 6 million Euros, with the majority choosing somewhere between the two.
