Deco Praises Figo

Barcelona star Deco has praised Luis Figo for agreeing to play for Portugal again.

Figo had turned his back on his country after the Euopean Championships in 2004 but after talks back in May, the decision was reversed.

Figo has had a miserable week in regards to where his club future lies.

But the 31-year-old is now being welcomed back, by Deco in particular on the international scene ahead of this weekends game again Slovakia.

Deco said:

''Figo is a fantastic player,''

''Our presence in the national team helps force a focus for the next match against Slovakia.

''I have no doubt that his reincorporation and arrival will make better moments for us.

''The match is decisive because if we suffer a defeat there could be problems for Germany.''
