Anatolii Tymoschuk has set his sights on a move to the premiership with Arsenal, Newcastle, Everton, Middlesbrough and Bolton all rumoured to be interested. Last seen on these shores in a Champions league game, for Shakhtar Donetsk, against Celtic, when he chopped down Celtic’s Camara on the edge of the area and received a red card for his trouble.

Shakhtar are desperate to hang onto the defensive midfielder though and could be willing to try and price him out of the market.

Tymoschuk is actually a long time Newcastle target, Sir Bobby Robson had him watched as long ago as 2003, when he was interested in signing him and his team-mate Andriy Husin.

Arsenal too have had a long association with him, he was part of the Shakhtar side that tore Arsenal to pieces back in 2000, and was named man of the match that night after laying on two of Shakhtar’s goals.
