Parma ready to drop 35 million demand for Gilardin

With Chelsea, Milan, Inter and Juventus all connected with a swoop for Parma’s Alberto Gilardino, it is being suggested by chief Luca Baraldi, that the 35 million asking price he set last month is not set in stone. Speaking on Sky Italia she stated:

"The best players can make the difference and it is right that clubs should gain an economical advantage for them."

"Galliani said he would pull out at that price? I didn’t set a price, I just gave my opinion by comparing him to Adriano."

"We’ll consider figures at the end of the season," added Baraldi. "Only once serious negotiations start will we get a clear picture of the situation.

"Galliani is a great football official and it is only right that he is saying what he is right now."

It looks like a quick reaction to the news that Milan were willing to pull out of any proposed deal rather than pay over the odds for the striker.

Either way though it looks like Alberto Gilardino, will be hot property in the summer and while the price might not reach 35 million, it will be high enough.
