No homecoming for Chelsea star

Despite being widely tipped to make a move back to Italy, Chelsea keeper Carlo Cudicini has stated he is sticking with the new Premiership champions, to back up first choice keeper Petr Cech. He had the option of several Italian sidea and both Man Utd and Arsenal have showed interest of late in the Itlaian keeper, and it even looks like boss Jose Mourinho could be ready to offer him a new contract despite having three years left on his current one.

"Of course I will be at the club next year," said Cudicini.

"I'm contracted until 2008 and that is a long way away and I have a fantastic relationship with the supporters. “

"The last three games gave me a very good responsibility because Petr played most of the matches this season.”

"He was fantastic and conceded just 13 goals."
