In one of the longest running transfer wrangles I think I can remember Arsenal’s Edu, still seems to be no nearer a decision. Valencia have thought they had landed the Brazilian on a few occasions up to now.
Then there is Juventus in Italy, enough of a side to turn most players’ heads, but Edu was non-committal when speaking to BBC Sport, saying:
"I’ve decided to go after the FA Cup final but I haven’t decided which club I’m going to join.”
"A lot of clubs have asked about me and since January my agent has spoken to Real Madrid, Barcelona, Valencia in Spain and Juventus in Italy."
"To be honest I don’t know what will be the best thing for me to do. Real Madrid wanted to talk to me but then they signed Thomas Gravesen.
"If I go there I will have to fight for my position with some big guys. So I have to be careful.
"The same is true of Barcelona - it’s a club with a big squad.
"I don’t want to go to a club and just be part of the squad, that’s not my plan.
"Apart from how much I would be playing, it’s also about the country and whether my family will be happy that I have to think about.
"But I’m sure of one thing - I want to play always."
