Inter close in on Newcastle target

Inter Milan are said to be in advanced talks with Bayern Munich’s Ghanaian defender Sammy Kuffour. The defender was a big January target for Souness and Newcastle.
But they now look to have lost out to Inter Milan for the defender who is available on a free transfer come the end of the season.
Inter though may still face competition in the shape of CSKA Moscow and Juventus.
