Kromkamp Boost For AZ

Jan Kromkamp's injury isn't as serious as first thought. The results of todays M.R.I. scan showed only a little bruise in the ankle. Kromkamp is expected to return to training on wednesday and he will almost certainly feature in the UEFA cup quarter final against Villarreal on Thursday. This comes as a major boost to Co Adriaanse who already is set to miss Martijn Meerdink, who is sidelined for about 5 months.

And there is yet more positive news for AZ coach Adriaanse. Defender Tim De Cler and Joris Mathijsen will also be fit for Thursdays clash with Villarreal. If Mathijsen will start against the Spanish remains to be seen though. He's still not 100% but fit enough to train with the group.
