Gravesen Staying Put

Thomas Gravesen's agent has rejected claims that the Dane will leave Real Madrid at the end of the season and return to former club Everton. The 28-year-old midfielder is at the centre of speculation that he will be part of a clear-out at The Bernabeu.

But Gravesen's agent John Sivebaek told BBC Sport: "I've seen these suggestions but I don't know where it is coming from. It is total speculation.

"Thomas is playing well, he's in Real's team and I can't see him leaving."

Sivebaek added: "Thomas is enjoying himself in Spain. He loves Real and he has been doing well and has been getting picked in the team, so I do not think he will be coming back."

Gravesen has been a regular in the Real side since a £2.8m move from Everton in January.

But there have been suggestions coach Wanderley Luxemburgo has been unhappy with the Denmark international's discipline.

And there may be changes at Real in the summer after failure in the Champions League and a struggle to keep pace with leaders Barcelona in La Liga.

Everton have yet to find a permanent replacement for Gravesen, who was influential in the first part of the season as they closed in on a Champions League place.

Manager David Moyes is currently pondering whether to complete a £2.8m deal for on-loan Spanish midfield man Mikel Arteta.
