Real Madrid pair out of England game

David Beckham and Michael Owen will be forced to miss at least one game on the upcoming England tour of America. The first game is scheduled for the same day as the last game of the Spanish season. And although the pair are willing to fly out after that Sven Goran Eriksson feels he may not include them anyway as the experience could prove too tiring for the pair.

"David and Michael are very keen to come for the second game," said Eriksson.

"But I can understand if they don't want to come because the schedule is very tiring. They would come one day and then play the next.”

"That is not the best thing in the world for them so I might not pick them."
