Pair Leaving Groningen

Dutch club Groningen have announced that Martin Drent and Hugo will both leave the club in the summer.

Both men’s contracts expire in the summer and they have been informed they will NOT be offered new deals.

 

Drent has spent many years at the club but will not be there for a ninth as most appearances this season have been off the substitute’s bench.

 

Drent was allowed to leave the club earlier this season for a club in Asia but rejected the offer as he felt at home in Groningen, but now he will have to find a new club.

 

Hugo has also been at the club for a number of years and began his European career with Groningen. He must now decide if he will seek a new club or return home to Brazil.
