Manchester United break records in Milan

The Champions league second leg tie between Manchester United and AC Milan has sold out all 78,957 seats in the San Siro, bringing in a record income of 2,441,344 euro for the game. A game that most fans and indeed large sections of the Italian press believes is far from over. Indeed speaking to the Corriere dello Sport, Milan boss Carlo Ancelotti, claimed that the Champions league was a lot tougher to win than Serie A, even with Inter on the horizon stating:

’The Champions League is harder than the title race. In Europe it is enough to slip-up in a game to compromise the work of a whole season. Moreover, in the Champions League there are all first-rate opponents. But we are relaxed. In our march for the Scudetto we will have to pay attention to the derby with Inter. Especially because that will be the last chance for the Nerazzurri to return to the title challenge. After all, they are going through a positive period.'

And Speaking with Corriere della Sera, Adriano Galliani warned about complacency, reminding everyone, that it is just half time stating:

’The club's commandment is clear: against Manchester we have just played the first half.'
