Italy to move for 2012 championships

The Italian association FIGC has stated that it will attempt to get the 2012 European Championships. Against them they will have to compete with current champions Greece, who have also expressed their interest. Italy last hosted the 1980 European Championships and went on to host the World Cup of 1990( Gazza crying and fat blokes singing, you know it makes sense for them to have it again) Italy’s government in a rare moment of agreement sees a good chance to stimulate tourism by hosting another major tournament.

The deadline for interested countries is January 31st. Poland (Snow and prison camps let’s face matters) are said to submit a joint candidacy with Ukraine (potatoes and corn fields)

I know where my vote (if I actually had one) would go.
