Patrick Müller joins Basel

FC Basel 1893 have signed Swiss international Patrick Müller. The Transfer was announced the day after Müllers contract with struggling Primera division side RCD Mallorca was dissolved, so the Swiss champions did not have to pay a transfer-fee. The 28 year old has signed till summer 2007; with an option for one further year should both sides be agreeable. Müller gets the same terms that Basel offered him six months ago, when he decided to join Mallorca.

At the same press conference Basel also announced the signing of Swiss youngster Reto Zanni from league concurrent FC Thun. Basels dramatic injury list when it comes to defenders has been solved within a day.
