AC Milan to bring football academy to Scotland

For part of this week officials from AC Milan will be locked in talks with Scottish football chiefs over a new academy to be based in Paisley. Successful conclusion of the deal would see Milan bring their own world class coaches to the University of Paisley to launch a Milan Junior camp. The idea was from a Scotsman, Mathew Pearson, who is AC Milan’s representative in Scotland.

A Paisley University insider told Scotland on Sunday: "Contracts have been exchanged and the Thornley park sports facility is the one Milan want. Things are not 100% finalised so we wouldn't want to go into too much detail, but the prospect is exciting for us."
