Agent confirms Barcelona move for Roma star

Olivier Dacourt's agent has confirmed that Barcelona have confirmed their interest in the Roma midfielder. BArcelona are hoping they can sign the French International for a knockdown fee come January. And they must feel that they have a decent chance of doing so, his contract with Roma ends in the summer and Roma are understood to be keen on cashing in on a player, that they would see leaving for free in the summer anyway.

The emergence of Daniele De Rossi, has dented Dacourt's hopes of a regular place at Roma anyway, so a move to the Spanish giants could very well suit all parties concerned.
