Crespo to Milan and Drogba to Chelsea?

Jose Mourinho has stated that they will move for Didier Drogba, should Crespo decide that his future actually lies in Italy with Milan. Crespo has struggled for form and fitness at Chelsea, and has looked a shadow of the player he was in Serie A. However nothing would appear to be guaranteed as of yet, with the Argentinean stating only last week that he would be happy to stay at Chelsea and fight for his place. This of course was his sentiment after he had annoyed his new coach, by turning up late for training.

Mourinho then continued to praise Drogba as one of the best strikers in Europe.

Drogba and Chelsea have of course been linked for some time, since the strikers impressive performances in the EUFA cup brought him soundly to the attention of the Premiership, and if one club have the money to tempt him away from Marseille, it is probably Chelsea.

Crespo on the other hand has long been connected with a move to Milan, with several of the Milan players actively encouraging him to join them.

There seams little doubt that Crespo would be happier in Serie A and quite possibly a great deal more successful, so all that remains to be seen is if a deal for Drogba can be done, because regardless of the right noises coming out of Chelsea regarding Crespo’s future willingness to fight for the cause, it appears there may be little doubt which Striker his coach would prefer next season.
