Lazio face player loss over Mendieta debt

Gaizka Mendieta is at the centre of a fresh Lazio transfer round even though the player is currently on loan to Middlesbrough, Lazio still owe around 10 Million pound on the 29 Million they offered to Valencia for the Spaniards signature. But the state of Lazio's finances means they have to look at other ways of paying off the debt and one way is too offer them players instead. Claudio Lopez, a long time target for Valencia is thought to be one of the players, while both Ousmane Dabo and Simone Inzaghi are also being linked with possible moves to Spain.

Gaizka Mendieta was nothing short of a spectacular flop in Serie A although he does apear to be aproaching what he is capable of in the Premership. This will be more unwelcome new to Lazio fans, who really haven't had that easy of a season, even though on the field they have been fairly impressive. Its off the fild where the problems all lie.

To see two prehaps three players leaving and for a player that was almost invisable in Rome, must hurt.
