Reports out of Italy are stating that prior to last nights Serie B match between Ternana and Avellion, 2 players were offered cash to throw the game.
A lawyer from the company that owns Avellino stated " 2 of our players were aproached before the match with Terrana and offered cash to corupt the game".
He refused to reveal the identity of the players concerned, adding only that the matter would be investigated by the league.
The game went ahead with Ternana beating Avellino 2-0 with goals from Jimenez and Borgobello.
