Inter Mlan Vs Chievo Match Report

Inter went into this encounter having lost their last 4 games and surely the Manager's job must be hanging by a thread, although they did at least manage not to lose this one, Zacceroni's job can hardly be any safer. Inter seamed to lack invention and belife, yes some players impressed individualy, but they are not playing as a team, the final ball was none existent, creativety was none existant Inter just shooting from anywhere, see goal shoot is an aproach that is not working.

But that is not to take anything away from Chievo, they are not the high flying donkey's they once were, gone are the free scoring style that had made them win many fans. But what its been replaced with is team work, Del Neri has created a hardworking defence, with the four midfield players often dropping back to make an effected 8 man defence.

Inter simply had no answer, the introduction of Martins with 20 minutes to play livened things up a bit, in fact it coupld be argued that they were more of a threat in 5 minutes of Martins appearance, than the 70 which had gone before.

A few good moments from Dejan Stankovic saw a shot hit the crossbar after a great save by the Chievo keeper.

Inter on the whole though were poor and how long it is until a new coach is unveiled is debatable, but on this sort of performance it will not be long. Champions league football seams to be slipping further and further away, and reports of a return of ex-coach Hector Cuper will not go away.
