Spanish criticized coach Luis Aragonés has once again caused shock as he revealed the new list of players that will play the friendly against Romania the next Wednesday. Fernando Torres and Raúl have been left out, while four players will be making their debuts for "the fury". Spanish media is talking about revolution as they comment on Aragonés' new list. But considering that the upcoming match is not official, they are not being overly critical... yet.

Aragonés has decided to leave the backbone of the team that went to Germany at home, as Raúl (Real Madrid), Fernando Torres (Atlético de Madrid), Carles Puyol and Xavi Hernández (Barcelona) were not called up for the match. Raúl was the motive of great criticism towards the Spanish coach a few weeks ago when he decided not to call him up for the match against Sweden, for the European Cup qualifyers.

The coach clearly decided to use this match to look for new options, as he handed many players the chance to either make their debut for the national team or return after a very long time. Four players will be making their debuts: Celta de Vigo right back Ángel López, Valencia winger Silva and Deportivo defender Albert Lopo and forward Javier Arizmendi. All of them played in the youth national teams several times, and their current good form in their teams has been rewarded with the call up.

Sevilla centre back Javi Navarro is the other surprise; it will be his first comeback to the team since 2004, when he was called by Iñaki Sáez. Also, Aragonés has decided to insist with former surprises, like Valencia winger Miguel Ángel Angulo and Celta midfielder Borja Oubiña. Fernando Morientes and Marco Senna are also returning to the side.

Speaking to the media, Aragonés explained:

"There are players that are excelling in their teams and the Under-21 Spain side; I want to give them all a chance.

"This list is no revolution, we called up the ones me and my coaching staff think are in best shape and form.
