I have no idea of what to write at the moment. It's 11.40pm and I'm tired, yet I'm determined to get something written and make up for the lack of updates on TBG. So far I've covered all the easy stuff: Why we love the game etc., but now it's time to get more advanced.

I think I've got it, maybe we should switch over from all the on-the-field stuff and get down to what it must be like for the players behind the scenes. These guys get paid bucket-fulls to do something I would pay to play in my spare time if I have to. These guys get respected by millions of people worldwide. But, as some guy on Spider-Man once said: "With great power comes great responsibility." A cheesy reference I know, but nonetheless effective and truthful.

There are several players that I could use as an example and I think that the first guy I should use is fallen hero George Best- you know, the one that's married to that fit model. This guy is actually one of the worst examples. throughout his life this guy has had drink problems and has drunk excessive amounts, and I know it's a sad thing to say, but maybe he deserves to die. I mean, someone up there obviously likes him, he was given a 2nd chance, but he through it away. The guy was given a liver, that somebody else could've used, maybe a small child who'd have been a lot more grateful.

There are much more examples, but I can't be bothered to say them all so I'm just going to say, I don't think that we should be comparing these guys' behavior to rugby players, though. The amount of money probably has a bearing on there behavior, and although that's no excuse, it shouldn't be a factor. What I will say though is that they should take a leaf out of big players like David Beckham and Michael Owen's book and behave how they do. They get paid even more than your average player, and they seldom, if ever, do owt wrong.

Maybe the PFA, FA and clubs can do something to help- Arsenal have banned 'booze ups' and every other club, in my eyes, should do the same. This is a start, but a lot more will need to be done if English football is going to win back it's tarnished status which has been heavily damaged after the events of recent weeks.
