LeLeicester City have signed experienced midfielders Nicky Summerbee and Billy McKinlay despite not being able to offer full-time contracts. Leicester boss Micky Adams is working under financial constraints at the club and has worked a miracle in signing two experiences players on non-contract terms.

The duo have spent most of the season training with The Foxes and by offering their services for free are in effect putting themselves in the shop window. A fact that Micky Adams admitted when speaking to the clubs official website. "It is testament to them because we are in a situation were we cannot pay these players any money.

"They have both decided to accept it and it will allow them both to put themselves in the shop window."

Summerbee, 30, will be a menace to any left-back with his skilful play and superb crossing range. 33-year-old McKinlay will probably replace Dennis Wise as the holding-role midfielder.

Summerbee spent last season with Nottm Forest on a week-to-week contract while McKinlay was playing for, the now non-existent, Clydebank in the Scottish Second Division.
