Brighton defender Kerry Mayo has agreed a new 3-year deal with the club. The highly rated left-back was a key member of the championship winning sides of the last two seasons.
Mayo attracted interest from many clubs last season and the club were very keen to tie him down to a long-term deal. The new deal combined with his existing deal keeps him under contract till the summer of 2007.
Mayo told the clubs official site that he was happy to be rated so highly. "It makes me feel wanted as a player and it makes me feel wanted by the club. It's just great news".
