Wolves winger Mark Kennedy has recieved another blow after being told he looks set to miss the first month of the season. The former Millwall man was plauged last season by a groin injury that eventually forced him to pull out of the Republic of Ireland World Cup squad.

It was thought that Kennedy would be back for the start of the season but it now seems that Kennedy now needs an operation on the troublesome groin which will sideline him till September, at the earliest.

Wolves boss Dave Jones told of the injury to the clubs website. "Surgery looks like giving him a higher chance of success rather then rest, because that does not appear to have worked"
