Millwall manager Mark McGhee has admitted that he could lose his star midfielder Tim Cahill. Cahill has been one of Millwall's star players of the last few seasons as the Lions rose from Division 2 obscurity to Premiership hopefulls.

The Lions just missed out on the Premiership last season. This season however may be a different story having already lost Sean Dyche, Marc Bircham and Christophe Kinet the club now face a fight to keep hold of Cahill along with World Cup star Steven Reid who is attracting interest from Tottenham.

Aston Villa boss Graham Taylor is a big fan of Cahill and has been in contact with the London club several times over the midfielders availability.

Lions boss Mark McGhee does not have to sell Cahill but he knows that he can't stand in the players way as he told the clubs official site. We've had enquires about Tim's avilability.

"Realistically these days, if the want to go, you cannot stop them.

The chairman said I would not have to sell players if we were prudent with cash, but the decisive factor is always the player."
