Sheffield Wednesday have confirmed the signing of striker Lloyd Owusu on a Bosman from Brentford. Owusu attracted several clubs including Millwall and Crystal Palace to his signature this summer after his exploits with Brentford over the last 4 seasons scoring 64 goals.
However the former Slough man decided for the move north to Yorkshire and join the Owls.
This news comes just a week after The Owls signed Leon Knight on a year-long loan from Chelsea. Competition will be fierce in South Yorkshire now with Finnish international Shefki Kuqi also targeting a starting role.
Delighted boss Terry Yorath told the clubs official website of the signing. "Lloyd has come up through the divisions and has scored goals wherever he has played.
"We watched him extensively last season and are delighted to be signing a player with such a good goalscoring pedigree
