AFC Wimbledon will play non-league football next season after the club was elected into the Combined Counties League. Having seen their application to join the 2nd Division of the Ryman League the club decided to try for the Combined Counties League which is a feeder league for the 3rd Division of the Ryman League.

The club will play its first competative game on 17th of August and will warm up with 5 pre-season friendlies including the clubs first ever game against Sutton Utd on July 10th.

Today AFC Wimbledon released a statement:"The work starts today on building a club the supporters can be proud of."

Ex Dons player Terry Eames will become the clubs director of football whilst player trials will take place at Wimbledon Common Extensions on June 29th.
