Manchester City are believed to be close to signing PSG defender Sylvain Distin who has spent this season on loan at Newcastle. The story has been touted in several national newspapers and it is understood that the defender is just a medical away from signing.
Distin will not come cheap at a fee rumoured to around £4 million. Distin was all set to become a Newcastle player but the Geordies and PSG could not agree a fee, giving Kevin Keegan the chance to swoop in and steal Distin from under the noses of his former team.
Sportnetworks very own Man City site reports that the move could signal the end of Paul Ritchies career at Maine Road, for more see the link.
