Dons Set To Sign Defender

Wimbledon hope to bolster their defence with the signing of Arsenal youngster Ben Chorley after he impressed for the Dons' reserves. Chroley,20,is a centre-half who two years ago led the Gunners youth team to FA Youth Cup glory,he also spent time on loan at Brentford last season.

Wimbledon boss Stuart Murdoch revealed that they have "made him an offer and discussions are at an advanced stage. Hopefully, they will be concluded in time." Murdock also spoke favourably about the youngsters many qualities,saying "He brings determination, youth and energy to the side and he's a decent defender - a good organiser."

If Chorley does sign it is expected that he will go straight into the Dons' starting lineup to face Reading at Selhurst Park on Saturday.
