Grimsby have handed trials to ex Man Utd forward Kalum Mooniaruck and Charlton's Mads Mortensen.
Mooniaruck was given a free transfer from Manchester Utd last year and Mortensen will join the ex Man Utd youngster at Blundell Park as Paul Groves the Grimsby boss strenghens his side for the tough Division one run in.
Mooniaruck has tried and failed to get first team football since leaving Old Trafford with unsuccessful trials at Rotherham and QPR and will hope he can knuckle down and work hard for a contract.
