Gillingham defender Chris Hope is hoping his extended run in the side earns him a fresh Gills contract.
Chris Hope is hoping his run of 140 games on the bounce for the Gills will land him a new deal at the Preistfield.
Chris Hope said "I'd like to keep the run going. I know one day it will come to an end but while it's still going I'm enjoying it."
"The lads give me a bit of stick that I am not going to make it, but I'm a quick healer and not many people can say they have done it."
Hope was a lucky chap nearly seeing his run ending with a leg injury , but he passed a fitness test and went onto score in Saturdays's win over Grimsby.
