Stoke City Defender Siarhei Shtaniuk is waiting to hear from the Football Association if he will be banned after receiving a red card against Grimsby Town. The Potters and Belarus International defender saw red after lunging in a Professional Foul on Mariners David Soames in the closing minutes in there 2-0 defeat at Blundell Park last Saturday.

Shtaniuk looks set to miss the trip to City Ground against Nottingham Forest on 22 February 2003. He as already served a one match suspension in November after picking up five yellow cards.
