Burnley are making an attempt to sign out of favour Blackburn striker Matt Jansen on loan. Burnley boss Stan Ternant is hoping to get Blackburn striker Matt Jansen on loan at Turf Moor , he missed out on midfielder Bryan Hughes yesterday and will be gutted if he misses the chance of grabbing Jansen as well.

Blackburn manager Graeme Souness told the Lancashire Evening Telegraph "Burnley have enquired about him along with several other clubs from the first division."

"I'm due to have a meeting with Matt to discuss the situation." Souness added

Jansen has been out of favour since Graeme Souness brought in the Dwight Yorke and Andy Cole partnership , and in giving Jansen this loan chance he will be hoping the striker can come back sharper and fitter then ever to challenge Yorke and Cole to a first team spot.
