Derby midfielder Craig Burley wants talks with Derby in a bid to sort out his footballing future at Pride Park. Craig Burley hopes to have clear the air talks with manager John Gregory very soon as he finds himself in Limbo with the Pride Park outfit.

Burley recently turned down a move to Middlesborough because of personal matters regarding his family, and has also turned down a three month short term deal at Derby.

Burley was left shocked at not being used from the bench against Rotherham ,and he see's he has no future at Derby after being left on the bench the whole game without getting a run out.

Burley speaking to The Derby Evening Telegraph stated "Last Thursday, we spoke about me going to Middlesbrough but I turned it down."

"Then on the Saturday against Rotherham, I wasn't playing yet I have played every game since coming back from injury. I think that tells the story."

"It's pretty obvious they were desperate for me to go to Middlesbrough but, for various reasons, I didn't want to go and I stick by my decision." Burley added

With cash strapped Derby still in debt and having to let go off Malcolm Christie and Chris Riggot in recent weeks on loan , it seems with Burley turning down a move to the Riverside it seems to have left a little bit of bad blood between Burley and the football club.
