Derby have told Billy McEwan they now longer need his services as first team coach at Pride Park after nine years at the club. Billy McEwan has been told his time at Derby will after this week come to an end , he has been with Derby for nine years but manager John Gregory today relieved him of his duties as first team coach ,after only getting the position nine months ago.

John Gregory told the clubs website "Everyone at Derby County is grateful for the service Billy has given the club during the past nine years."

"I really do wish him well in the future but I have taken the decision that it is time to move on." Gregory added

McEwan has been caretaker manager twice in his none years , taking over when both Roy Mcfarland and Colin Todd were sacked.
