Leicester boss Micky Adams is reported to be keen on getting the services of Southampton striker Kevin Davies. Kevin Davies the Southampton hero after his late leveller against Millwall on Saturday is reported at being lined up for a move to Leicester City.

Davies who has not had the best of times at Southampton and has had a loan spell at Millwall ironically , since his £7 milllion one time Blackburn spell which was at best average he has not lived up to his tag as a goalscorer since leaving Chesterfield.

Micky Adams is desperate to land a striker having seen Brian Deane out from a cheekbone injury and seeing his side mauling by First Division rivals Wolves in the FA Cup on Saturday.

Davies has spoke out about the interest him him he said "I like it at Southampton and don't really want to leave but I need to get away to kick-start my career.""
