Millwall manager Mark Mcghee has insited striker Steve Claridge can play on and has hinted on extending his stay at The New Den. Veteran striker Steve Claridge will be boosted by Millwall boss Mark Mcghee's comments he can play on for another season ,Mcghee has also hinted he may be ready to extend the veteran strikers contract by another year also.

Claridge has been around a while and at 36 is still scoring goals for fun , Claridge has played for Cambridge , Wolves , Portsmouth and Millwall to name but a few.

Mark Mcghee speaking highly about Claridge said "Last year I gave him the number 35 shirt because that was his age, and this year he is wearing 36. Hopefully he'll get 37 next season although knowing him he'd probably like to go on until he gets the number 40!"
