Rotherham United Football Club are set to announce plans to build a new 7,000 all seated stand at their Millmoor Ground.
The news is a massive boost to the fans of the Millers and also to Ronnie Moore after there was uncertainty surrounding the £4,250,000 project.
The Millers, currently lying mid-table will only be allowed to build the new stand if they manage to avoid relegated and also have significant funding for the building to take place. Baring this in mind, Rotherham United officials are arranging an meeting with their associate sponsors and local rugby club who share the ground.
Chief executive Phil Henson told the Sheffield Star: "I am delighted we have reached this stage and it is an exciting time. I am fairly confident we can meet all the criteria and that this will prove a great boost for Rotherham United and the town."
The stand is expected to be started at the end of the current 2002/03 season and is expected to be completed in September this year.
