Reading have signed Charlton defender Steve Brown on a free transfer. Steve Brown arrived at the Madjeski Staduim today signing a two and a half year deal , Reading boss Alan Pardew has been chasing Brown for some time now and is happy to finally get his man.

Alan Pardew told the club's official website "It's been well reported that I've been after Steve Brown for a long time, and there are good reasons for that. I'm very pleased to bring him to this club,"
"If the Reading fans are wondering what type of player he is, then the highest compliment I can pay is that he's our new Parky.

30 year old Brown had been released by Charlton some time now and is just happy to finally sign for Reading , after losing Matty Upson back to Arsenal this is just the news Reading need.
